A Morning Roadtrip to Red Oak II and Carthage, Missouri

Saturday morning I drove an hour west on Hwy 96 (it used to be part of the legendary Route 66) to Red Oak II and Carthage, Missouri. Red Oak II is the creation of artist Lowell Davis and is a collection of random artwork, buildings and vehicles on his property. It's open to the public and would be a great place for a retro family photo shoot. Something my family and I are planning once the weather warms. I went out there to scout things out and poke around a bit while my wife and daughter were at a wedding shower.

Here is a collection of pics from the morning. I'll let them speak for themselves.
